22. Disconnect the narrow transport electrical harness from
connector (B) and return it to holder (A).

5.3.8 Storing Windrower

To prevent damage, rust, discoloring, and wear and tear, it is important to prepare your windrower for storage at the end
of the season.
WARNING
NEVER use gasoline, naphtha, or any volatile material for cleaning purposes. These materials are toxic and can be
flammable.
WARNING
NEVER operate the engine in an enclosed building. Proper ventilation is required to prevent exhaust gas hazards.
WARNING
When working with batteries, remove any worn metal jewelry. NEVER allow a metal object (such as a wrench) to touch
across the battery terminals. A short circuit can produce an extremely hot spark, which can cause severe injuries.
1. Retract all cylinders to protect the cylinder rods from corrosion during storage, including:
• Header lift cylinders
• Float cylinders
• Header tilt cylinder
2. Check for broken components and order replacements from your Dealer.
NOTE:
Attending to these items right away will save time and effort at the beginning of the next season.
3. Tighten loose hardware and replace any missing hardware. Refer to

5. Repaint all worn or chipped painted surfaces to prevent rust.
6. Fill the fuel tank to prevent condensation.
7. When storing for 6 MONTHS OR LONGER, drain the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank. For instructions, refer to
