Loss of control hazard
DANGER
To prevent serious injury or death from losing control of the
machine:
• Do NOT make abrupt changes in the direction in which you
are steering.
• Slow down before you begin turning the machine.
• Do NOT make sudden, sharp changes to the windrower's
speed (such as hard braking) when you are turning the
windrower.
When you are travelling on steep slopes:
• Reduce the machine's speed and lower the header.
• Move the ground speed lever to the low end of the range.
• Shift the high-low speed control to the low range (0–16 km/
h [0–10 mph]).
When the windrower is operating without a header attached,
weight must be added over the drive wheels so that you can
maintain steering control. If you must drive the windrower
without a header or without a MacDon weight system:
• Operate the windrower in the low-speed range (0–16 km/h
[0–10 mph]).
• Avoid slopes.
• Do NOT tow a header.
• If control of the machine is lost, immediately pull the ground
speed lever to the neutral position and shut off the engine.
