Checking Engine Interlock

Perform the following checks on the engine lock-out system every year or every 500 hours—whichever occurs first.
DANGER
Ensure that all bystanders have cleared the area.
1. With the engine shut down and HEADER ENGAGE switch (A)
engaged, try to start the engine. If the engine turns over,
the system requires adjustment. Contact your MacDon
Dealer.
2. With the engine shut down, the steering wheel NOT
centered, and ground speed lever (GSL) (B) in NEUTRAL (but
NOT in PARK), try to start the engine. The HarvestTouch
Display will flash NOT IN NEUTRAL and CENTER STEERING
WHEEL, accompanied by a short beep with each flash and
the engine should NOT turn over. If the engine turns over,
the system requires adjustment. Contact your MacDon
Dealer.
A properly functioning system should operate as follows (if not, contact your MacDon Dealer):
• The starter should engage ONLY when the GSL is in PARK, the steering wheel is locked in the CENTER position, and the
HEADER ENGAGE switch is in the OFF position.
• Under the above conditions, the brake should engage and the machine should NOT move after engine start-up.
• The steering wheel should NOT lock with the engine running and the GSL out of PARK.
• When the GSL is pulled straight out of PARK (NOT in forward or in reverse), the machine should NOT move with the
engine running and with the steering wheel still centered.
