There are two types of IO connectors: snap-in connectors for plastic fiber cables
and ST/bayonet connectors for glass fiber cables. The SLM can be equipped with
either type of connector or a combination of both connectors. This is identified by a
tag.
Connect the incoming optical fiber to the RX receiver input, and the outgoing
optical fiber to the TX transmitter output. Pay special attention to the instructions
concerning handling and connection of fiber cables.
