6.5. SOURCE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION INFOFRAME

The Source Product Description (SPD) InfoFrame contains the vendor name and product description. The transmission of SPD
InfoFrames is enabled by setting
video fields.
An application of this packet is to allow the sink to display the source information using an OSD. This information is in a 7-bit ASCII
format. Refer to CEA 861 specification for more detail.
