7.4.2 Assigning an IP Address to an Interface

Context
Do as follows on the S9300.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
interface vlanif vlan-id
The VLANIF interface view is displayed.
Routed proxy ARP can be enabled only on the VLANIF interface of the S9300.
Step 3 Run:
ip address ip-address { mask | mask-length }
An IP address is assigned to the interface.
The IP address of the interface enabled with routed proxy ARP must be on the same network
segment with the IP address of the host connected to this interface, in a LAN.

Connecting interfaces and setting physical parameters of the interfaces to ensure that the
physical layer of the interfaces is in the Up state
Setting parameters of the link layer protocol for the interfaces to ensure that the status of
the link layer protocol on the interfaces is Up
