Using a
30~degrees
cutter, cut the valve seat in such
way that the circumference of the surface refaced
by the 45-degrees cutter may become 29 ± 0.1 mm.

Using a 70-degrees cutter, cut the seat in such way
that the width, of the surface refaced by the 45-
degrees cutter may became 1.4 mm.
@ Using the 45-degrees cutter. remove burrs
produced during the refacing by the 30-degrees
and 70-degrees cutters.
(2) Refacing procedure for exhaust valve seats

Using a 45-degrees cutter, recondWon the rough-
ness on the va!ve-to-valve seat contact surface, only
enough to obtain a smooth surface.

Using a 20-degrees cutter, cut the valve seat in such
a way that the circumference of the surface refaced
by the 45-degrees cutter may become 25 mm.
