Selecting characters
Slide omp or turn ymz.
To confirm the selection: press n.
Deleting individual characters
Select ) in the bottom line and press
the controller.
Deleting an entire word or number
Select ) in the bottom line and press
and hold the controller until the word or
number has been deleted.
Exiting character entry
Press "Back" in the bottom line.

Press the L back button.
Switching to the list
Slide qm.
or
Press ? in the second to bottom line.
Accepting the first entry
Press and hold n until you exit charac-
ter entry mode.
COMAND completes the entry as soon as
it can be clearly identified. If this is the
case, the view does not switch to the list.

There are more selection options for
list entries with icon 1. For example, if
icon 1 is next to a town, there may be
more than one town with the same
name in the selected country. Confirm-
ing one of these list entries will take
you to a further sub-selection.
