Switching on or off
You can only switch Night View Assist on if:
the key is in position 2 in the ignition
lock
it is dark
the light switch is set to * or B
or if the daytime driving lights are
switched on
the automatic transmission is not at R

Press rocker switch 1 up or down.
The Night View Assist image is shown
in the multi-function display.

The infrared headlamps only switch on
at speeds above 15 km/h. You do not therefore
have full use of the viewing range and it is not
possible to check that Night View Assist is work-
ing correctly when the vehicle is stationary.

When you switch on Night View Assist, the
speed display view changes in the multi-
function display. The speed display
is shown as a bar at the lower edge of the
multi-function display. The row of basic
menus is no longer available. If you wish to
change a setting using the steering wheel
buttons, you must switch off Night View
Assist.
