The vehicle may accidentally lock or unlock
if the KEYLESS GO key is within one metre of the
vehicle and:
water splashes against the door handle
you clean the door handle
To lock the vehicle centrally: make
sure that all the doors are closed.
Touch the outside door handle.
The turn signals flash three times. The
locking knobs in the doors drop down.
The anti-theft alarm system* is primed
and the active drive authorisation sys-
tem is activated.

Make sure you only touch the outside of the
door handle. Otherwise, the vehicle does not
lock centrally.
Locking the vehicle from the boot*
On vehicles with the boot lid remote clos-
ing feature*, you can close the boot from
outside. On vehicles with KEYLESS GO*,
you can also lock your vehicle centrally at
the same time.

Risk of injury
Monitor the boot lid closing procedure to
make sure that nobody can become
trapped. Press the closing button on the
boot lid again or press the Š button
on the key to halt the closing procedure.

Do not leave the key in the boot. Otherwise,
you could lock yourself out.

Closing and locking with KEYLESS GO*
1 KEYLESS GO button*
Press KEYLESS GO button* 1.
The vehicle locks centrally.
The boot lid closes. The locking knobs
in the doors drop down. The turn sig-
nals flash three times. The anti-theft
alarm system* is primed.

If you have left the KEYLESS GO key in the
vehicle, the vehicle will not lock. The vehicle is
only locked if the turn signals flash three times.
However, you will be able to lock the vehicle if
you are carrying a second KEYLESS GO key on
your person.
