Cross traffic

Distronic Plus may incorrectly evaluate a
signal from a vehicle crossing your own
path. If you activate Distronic Plus while
stopped at traffic lights with traffic cross-
ing, for example, your vehicle may inad-
vertently pull away.
Speedtronic
Speedtronic is used to make sure that you
do not exceed a set speed. You can set a
variable or permanent limit speed:
Variable
for speed limits, e.g. in built-
up areas
Permanent
for long-term speed restric-
tions, e.g. for driving on win-
ter tyres

Risk of accident
Speedtronic is only an aid designed to assist
driving. You are responsible for the vehicle's
speed and for braking in good time.
Driving systems

The speed displayed in the speedometer
may differ slightly from the limit speed stored
with Speedtronic.
Variable Speedtronic
The cruise control lever is used to operate:
Cruise control, Distronic* or
Distronic Plus*
Variable Speedtronic
The LIM indicator lamp on the cruise con-
trol lever indicates which system you can
select:
LIM indicator lamp off:
Cruise control, Distronic* or
Distronic Plus*
LIM indicator lamp lit:
Variable Speedtronic
You can set any limit speed above
30 km/h using the cruise control lever
when the engine is running.
The cruise control lever is the uppermost
lever on the left of the steering wheel.
