Answering a call
You may accept a call at any time provided
the telephone is ready to receive calls. If
you are in the "Telephone" menu, you will
see the following message in the display:
P54.32-3377-31
Press the s button.
Rejecting or ending a call
Press the t button.
Dialling a number from the phone book
You may select and dial a number from the
phone book at any time, provided your mo-
bile phone is ready to receive calls.

You can save new numbers on the telephone
or on COMAND as phone book entries.

If you insert the mobile phone into the
bracket, the on-board computer reads the phone
book stored on the SIM card or in the telephone.
This may take some time. The "Reading tele-
phone data, please wait..." message appears in
the COMAND display and the multi-function dis-
play.
Press ( or & to select the
"Telephone" menu.
The appropriate GSM network provider
appears in the display.
Press % or $ or # to switch
to the phone book.
Press % or $ to select the name
you are searching for.
The stored names are displayed alpha-
betically.
Press s or # to start dialling.
If there are several vCard entries for
one name, these will be displayed.
Select the desired entry.
Press s or # to start dialling.

If you do not want to use the phone, press
the t or L button. The GSM network op-
erator then appears in the display again.
On-board computer
i
If you press the % or $ button for
longer than a second, the on-board computer
shows the names in rapid scroll. If you press the
% or $ button for longer than four sec-
onds, the on-board computer shows the first four
entries on the next assigned letter. Releasing the
button stops the rapid scroll. The scrolling stops
automatically at the end of the list.
The "Connecting call" message and the
phone number dialled or the name will
appear in the display, provided it is
stored in the phone book.
The number dialled will be stored in the
"Calls dialled" list.
If a connection is made, the name will
appear in the display, provided it is
stored in the phone book, or the phone
number dialled.
