Display options with geo-coordinate
display switched on
If the crosshair is displayed on the map
view (map was moved manually), only dis-
play 3 is visible. It shows either the coor-
dinates of the crosshair or other data on
the crosshair position, e.g. a street name.
The digital map must contain relevant data
in order for this other data to be displayed.

If there is no crosshair on the map view,
displays 1, 2 and 3 are visible. Display 3
shows the coordinates of the current vehicle
position.
Switching the geo-coordinate display on
or off
Select "Navi"
"Navi"
play".
The map display list appears.
Select "Geo-coordinates".
The geo-coordinate display is switched
on or off, depending on the previous
status. A filled square
indicates the
active status.
To exit the menu: slide omp.
Selecting the route type
You can select the following route types:
"Fastest route": COMAND calculates a
route with the shortest possible (mini-
mised) journey time.
"Dynamic route": same route type as
"Fastest route". However, COMAND
also takes into consideration any RDS-
TMC traffic announcements
received for route guidance. The navi-
gation system is thus able to guide you
around a traffic jam, for example. If
a quicker route is determined due to a
received RDS-TMC traffic announce-
ment, the navigation system changes
the route. It will bypass blockages if
"Map dis-
possible.
"Short route": COMAND calculates a
route with the shortest possible (mini-
mised) distance.
1 RDS-TMC and the "Dynamic route" route type are
not available in all countries.

Select "Navi"
The mode list appears. A R dot indi-
cates the current setting.
To adjust: select "Fastest route" or
"Dynamic route" or "Short route".
To exit the menu: slide omp.
