RDS-TMC displays on the map
COMAND can show certain traffic inci-
dents on the map. These displays can be
seen on map scales 50 m (0.05 miles) to
50 km (50 miles).
To adjust the map scale: turn
until the desired scale is set.
Turning clockwise enlarges the map,
turning anti-clockwise reduces the map
scale.

COMAND uses the corresponding icons 2
to highlight the entire sectionof the route regard-
less of how long the section that affected is.
Icons 2 are to the left or right of the route in the
direction of travel. They thereby show which side
of the carriageway is affected by the incident.

If you have switched off dynamic route guid-
ance, COMAND will also show red icons 1, 3
and 5 for incidents to the side of the road.
