Setting permanent Speedtronic
For how to set Speedtronic, please refer to
the "Driving systems" section
( page 311).
Hiding or showing the additional speed-
ometer
You can show an additional digital speed-
ometer in the multi-function display. The
speed is displayed in miles per hour. Vehi-
cles with a miles speedometer: the addi-
tional speedometer indicates km/h.
Press ( or & to select the
"Settings" menu.
Press % or $ to select
"Aux. speedometer".
Press #.
Press # again if you wish to change
the current status.
The additional speedometer is activat-
ed or deactivated according to its pre-
vious state.
Activating and deactivating the radar
sensor system*
If your vehicle is equipped with a 24 GHz
radar sensor system, you can deactivate or
activate it.

You must deactivate the 24 GHz radar sen-
sor system in certain countries and near to radio
astronomical installations ( page 528).
Press ( or & to select the "Set-
tings" menu.
Press % or $ to select "Radar
sensor".
Press #.
Press # again if you wish to change
the current status.
If you deactivate the radar sensor system,
the following systems are deactivated:
Distronic Plus*
BAS Plus*
Park Assist*
Parking Guidance*
Distance warning*
PRE-SAFE ® Brake*

The settings are retained even after you re-
start the engine.
On-board computer
AMG menu*

Only AMG vehicles have this function.
The first display in the AMG menu shows:
the gear selected
the engine oil temperature
the vehicle electrical system voltage
Use ( or & to select the "AMG"
menu.

When the engine reaches the overspeed
range in the manual shift program, you can
see the upshift instruction "up" next to
gear indicator 1.
