Instrument cluster

You will find a full overview of the instru-
ment cluster in the "At a glance" section
( page 12).
To activate the display: switch on the
ignition.
i
The display in the instrument cluster is also
switched on when you open the doors or switch
on the lights.
You can change the language setting in the
multi-function display using COMAND
( page 199).
G
Risk of accident
No messages can be displayed if there is a
failure of the instrument cluster and/or the
multi-function display. You will not then be
able to see information about the vehicle
status, such as speed and outside tempera-
ture, warning and indicator lamps, malfunc-
tion and warning messages or the failure of
systems. The vehicle's handling characteris-
tics may be affected.
Immediately consult a qualified specialist
workshop which has the necessary special-
ist knowledge and tools to carry out the
work required. Mercedes-Benz recommends
that you use a Mercedes-Benz Service Cen-
tre for this purpose. In particular, work rele-
vant to safety or on safety-related systems
must be carried out at a qualified specialist
workshop.
