The speed displayed in the speedometer
may differ slightly from the speed stored with
Distronic.
If Distronic detects a vehicle in front, the
speedometer range lights up between the
speed of the vehicle in front 1 and stored
speed 2.
The l distance warning system lamp in
the instrument cluster lights up if the dis-
tance to the vehicle in front is too small.

Risk of accident
If Distronic identifies a risk of collision, an in-
termittent warning tone sounds in addition
to the l distance warning lamp. Brake to
avoid a collision.
Distronic Plus in the on-board
computer
You can select the distance display and
switch the Distronic distance warning on
or off in the "Assistance" menu
( page 284) of the on-board computer.
Display with Distronic activated
Select the "Distance display" function
using the on-board computer
( page 284).
If Distronic is activated, you will see the fol-
lowing display in the multi-function display.
When activating Distronic, you will see the
set speed for approximately five seconds.

Driving systems
Display with Distronic deactivated
Select the "Distance display" function
using the on-board computer

If Distronic is deactivated, you will see the

play.
