412
Possible cause/consequence
There is insufficient pressure in one or
more tyres or the tyre pressures on in-
dividual wheels differ too much.
There was a tyre pressure loss warning
message.
The tyre pressure loss warning system
is unavailable due to a malfunction.
The tyre pressure monitor* is some-
times not operational because:
the wheel electronics unit has over-
heated
the on-board voltage is too low
no sensor signals can be received
due to radio interference
The tyre pressure monitor* is faulty.
The tyre pressure monitor* is deacti-
vated because wheels without the ap-
propriate sensors are fitted to the
vehicle.
Possible solution
Check the tyre pressures and correct
them if necessary ( page 382).
Make sure that all tyres are adjusted to
the correct pressure.
Restart the tyre pressure loss warning
system ( page 383).
Visit a qualified specialist workshop.
The tyre pressure monitor* is restarted
automatically as soon as the cause has
been rectified.
Have the tyre pressure monitor* checked
at a qualified specialist workshop.
The tyre pressure monitor* is reactivated
automatically after a few minutes of driv-
ing as soon as wheels with the appropri-
ate sensors are fitted again.
