Risk of accident
Observe the legal requirements in the coun-
try in which you are currently driving when
operating mobile communications equip-
ment in the car.
If it is permitted to operate communications
equipment while the vehicle is in motion,
you must only operate it when road and traf-
fic conditions permit. You may otherwise be
distracted from the traffic conditions, cause
an accident and injure yourself and others.
For reasons of safety, only use hands-free
mode if you use the telephone while the ve-
hicle is in motion. If you use hands-free
mode to make a call, you must continue to
drive carefully, close all the windows and
prevent any disruptive noises.
If you wish to make a telephone call without
using hands-free mode, you must stop or
park the vehicle. Do not stop or park in are-
as where stopping and parking is forbidden.

bracket, you can operate the phone using
the following devices:
Mobile phone keypad
COMAND/telephone keypad
Multi-function steering wheel
Linguatronic*
Bluetooth headset
i
In order for the functions described in this
section to work correctly, the Bluetooth headset
must be linked to COMAND. It must not be linked
to the mobile phone. Make sure that any Blue-
tooth headset linked to the mobile phone is no
longer linked to the mobile phone before you
place the mobile phone into the bracket and use
the telephone functions using COMAND.
The descriptions in this section assume
that the mobile phone is inserted in the
bracket. Exceptions to this are clearly stat-
ed.
Unless otherwise indicated, the descrip-
tions and illustrations in this section refer
to COMAND and the telephone keypad.
