COMAND can only display the lane recom-
mendations if the relevant data is available on
the digital map.
Navigation status displays in the instru-
ment cluster
The following messages can be displayed
in the multi-function display when route
guidance is active:

You have reached the destination.
"Area of dest. reached"
You have arrived in the area of the des-
tination. This message appears if the
special destination is relatively large,
for example.
"New route"
COMAND calculates a new route, e.g.
because you have deviated from the
calculated route or as a result of a traf-
fic jam report. COMAND then contin-
ues route guidance.
"Calculating route"
COMAND is calculating a new route.
COMAND then begins route guidance.
"Off map"
The vehicle's position is outside the
range of the digital map. The vehicle is
in an off-map position ( page 171).
"Off road"
The vehicle is on a road that is not on
the digital map ( page 171) or the ve-
hicle is no longer on a road, e.g. in a car
park.
"No route"
COMAND is unable to calculate a route
to the selected destination.
"Direction of dest."
The vehicle has driven into an off-map
position during route guidance
( page 171).
Audio menu

You will find a menu overview on
( page 275).
You can operate the audio equipment you
have just switched on using the functions
in the "Audio" menu.
If no audio equipment has been switched
on, the "Audio off" message appears in the
multi-function display.
Selecting a radio station

Switch on COMAND and select "Radio"
( page 73).
Press ( or & to select the
"Audio" menu.
Press % or $ to select a station.
