Cruise control lever
The cruise control lever is used to operate
cruise control and variable Speedtronic.
The LIM indicator lamp on the cruise con-
trol lever indicates which system you can
select:
LIM indicator lamp off:
Cruise control
LIM indicator lamp lit:
Variable Speedtronic
The cruise control lever is the uppermost
lever on the left-hand side of the steering
column.

1 To store the current speed or a higher
speed
2 To store the current speed or a lower
speed
3 To switch off cruise control
4 To activate cruise control or to call up
the last speed stored
5 To switch between cruise control and
Speedtronic
6 LIM indicator lamp
To switch on: check whether LIM indi-
cator lamp 6 is off. If it is, you can ac-
tivate cruise control. If it is not, press
the cruise control lever in the direction
of arrow 5.
The LIM indicator lamp in the cruise
control lever is no longer lit. You can
activate cruise control.
Driving systems
Accelerate the vehicle to the desired
speed.
Press the cruise control lever briefly up
or down in the direction of arrow 1
or 2.
Remove your foot from the accelerator
pedal.
The vehicle automatically maintains the
stored speed.

Cruise control may be unable to maintain
the stored speed on uphill gradients. The speed
is resumed when the gradient evens out.
Cruise control is not available when:
you are braking
your vehicle is secured with the electric
parking brake
the automatic transmission is in posi-
tion P, R or N
you deactivate ESP
®
the vehicle is moving slower than
30 km/h
