Sunscreen foil retrofitted to the inside of the
windows could interfere with radio or mobile
phone reception, especially if these foils are con-
ductive or metallically coated. Information
about sunscreen foil can be obtained from any
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.
Cleaning the headlamps
Clean the headlamp lenses with a
damp cloth.

Only use washer fluid which is suitable
for plastic lenses. Unsuitable washer fluid could
damage the plastic lenses of the headlamps.
Therefore, do not use dry cloths, abrasive prod-
ucts, solvents or cleaning agents containing
solvents. You could otherwise scratch or dam-
age the surface of the lenses.
Plastic trim

Do not use dry, coarse or hard cloths and do
not scrub. You will otherwise scratch or damage
the surfaces.

Light soiling
Wipe plastic parts with a damp, lint-free
cloth (e.g. a microfibre cloth). As a clean-
ing agent, use a small amount of foaming
grease solvent (e.g. washing up liquid) di-
luted in water.
The surface may have a different shade af-
ter cleaning. The normal shade will return
if you wait for the surface to dry.
Heavy soiling
Wipe plastic parts with a damp, lint-free
cloth (e.g. a microfibre cloth). Use a sol-
vent-free and non-caustic cleaning agent.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you use
a Mercedes-Benz product.
The surface may have a different shade af-
ter cleaning. The normal shade will return
if you wait for the surface to dry.
Driving systems
Distronic* or Distronic Plus*

Turn the key to position 0 in the ignition
lock.
Clean cover 1 in the radiator grille
with water, shampoo and a soft cloth.
Clean the part of the bumper near the
sensors 2.
