Risk of accident
If you wish to leave the vehicle or park it,
deactivate HOLD and secure the vehicle
against rolling away.
Active Body Control*
Vehicle level
Your vehicle automatically adjusts its
height to reduce fuel consumption and im-
prove road safety.
According to the vehicle height set, the
vehicle automatically adjusts its height de-
pending on the current speed. As the
speed increases, the vehicle lowers by up
to 10 mm. As the speed decreases, it rises
to the set height.

Risk of injury
When you switch off the engine, the vehicle
lowers. Therefore, make sure that nobody is
in the vicinity of the wheel housing or under
the vehicle when you stop the engine.
Somebody could otherwise become
trapped.

When you switch off the engine, the vehicle
lowers by approximately 5 mm. When parking,
make sure that you stop your vehicle in a posi-
tion where it will not rest on anything, e.g. the
kerb, when it is lowered. There is otherwise a risk
of damage to the vehicle.
Setting the vehicle level manually
Select the "Normal" setting for normal
road conditions and "Raised" when using
snow chains or in very poor surface condi-
tions.

Make sure that nobody is in the vicinity of
the wheel housing or under the vehicle while
lowering the vehicle. There is otherwise a
risk of injury.

2 Indicator lamp
Setting the raised level
Start the engine.
If indicator lamp 2 is not lit:
Press button 1.
Indicator lamp 2 comes on. The vehi-
cle is adjusted to the raised level.
Setting the normal level
Start the engine.
If indicator lamp 2 is lit:
Press button 1.
Indicator lamp 2 goes out. The vehicle
is adjusted to the normal level.
