Service

Active Service System
ASSYST PLUS, the Active Service System,
tells you when the next service is due.
Approximately one month before the next
service is due, one of the following mes-
sages will appear in the multi-function dis-
play while you are driving or while the
ignition is switched on:
"Next service A in .. days"
"Next service A in .. km"
"Service A due"
P54.32-3383-31
The letter following "Service" informs the
workshop how long is required for the serv-
ice work to be carried out.
from
"A"
minor service
to
"H"
major service
The service due date is displayed in days or
kilometres depending on the distance trav-
elled.
Periods when the battery is disconnected
from electrical consumers are not record-
ed by the service indicator. You must
therefore subtract these periods of discon-
nection from the service due date yourself
to ensure that you have the vehicle serv-
iced at the correct time.
Clearing the service indicator
Press the L button.
Missing the service due date
If you have missed the service due date,
the following messages will appear in the
multi-function display:
"Service A due"
"Service A overdue by ... days"
"Service A overdue by .. km"
A qualified specialist workshop, e.g. a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre, will reset
the service indicator when it carries out
the necessary service work.
