Firmware Information Acquisition Command (getfwinfo)

The getfwinfo command collects the model name, serial number, and firmware version numbers of a machine and
writes the information to a file in text format. This command collects the firmware version numbers of all the MMBs
mounted in the cabinet, the version number of the BIOS (operating version only) installed on the Home SB from
which the command was executed, the BMC firmware version number (the operating version only), and the unified
firmware version number for the machine.
Remarks
The user must have root (Linux) or Administrator (Windows) privileges to execute this command. In Windows, if
an operating system function (access control function) is used to execute the command with privileges other than
Administrator privileges, the end status is undefined.
(1) Syntax
For output_filename, specify the file name of the output file.
- In Linux or VMware
/opt/FJSVpsa/sh/getfwinfo
- In Windows
getfwinfo
{output_filename}

- In Linux
To write firmware information to /tmp/fwinfo.txt
#/opt/FJSVpsa/sh/getfwinfo
- In Windows
To write firmware information to C:\tmp\fwinfo.txt
> getfwinfo
