CHAPTER 2 MMB CLI (Command Line Interface) Operations
When using this command to change the setting for a partition already powered off, you need not power off and
on the partition. The above message does not appear. The specified value takes effect immediately.
Also, if the specified and current values are the same, you need not power off and on the partition. Furthermore,
the above message does not appear.
Privileges: Operator or Partition Operator (only for a partition under management)
(1) Syntax
set partition mirror_mode <partition#> [disable | enable] {quiet}
(2) Options
quiet: The command does not display messages.
(3) Usage example
- Example: Enabling Mirror mode in partition 3 (assuming that the partition power is already on)
# set partition mirror_mode 3 enable
The setting will become effective the next time the partition power off/on is performed

In a partition where an SB with a DIMM configuration that does not satisfy the Mirror mode requirements is
registered as a Reserved SB, if you attempt to set the Mirror mode for the partition, a confirmation dialog box
appears. The confirmation dialog box displays a warning message that says the Mirror mode will be disabled when
the switch to the Reserved SB is made. This message asks if you are sure to continue the setting.
- Example: Enabling Mirror mode in partition 1 (when an SB with a DIMM configuration that does not satisfy
the Mirror mode requirements is registered as a Reserved SB for partition 1)
# set partition mirror_mode 1 enable
The SB with DIMM that does not satisfy requirements of Mirror Mode is
registered as a Reserved SB.
If you register this partition as a Mirror Mode,
Mirror Mode will be disabled when switching to Reserved SB.
