[Reserved SB Configuration] window

You can select the partition to which an SB belongs as a Reserved SB in the [Reserved SB Configuration] window.
The selected SB must be a free SB or an SB defined as a Reserved SB for a partition.
If a hardware error occurs on an SB incorporated in a partition so that you need to remove the SB, a Reserved SB
will be incorporated into the partition in place of the removed SB.
The displayed background color of unmounted SBs is gray.

For 1800E2/1800E, when setting the SB as a Reserved SB, refer to the number of CPUs on the SB incorporated in
the specified partition to confirm the following mounting conditions.
- In a partition configured with one SB, one mounted CPU per SB is permitted.
- In a partition configured with multiple SBs, two CPUs per SB must be mounted.
If the mounting conditions are not satisfied, a message dialog box appears. This prevents the setting of a Reserved
SB.
For a partition that is set to Mirror mode, if you attempt to set an SB with a DIMM configuration that does not
satisfy the Mirror mode requirements as a Reserved SB for a partition that is set to Mirror mode, a confirmation
dialog box appears. The confirmation dialog box displays a warning message that says the Mirror mode will be
disabled when the switch to the Reserved SB is made. This message asks if you are sure to continue the Reserved
SB setting.
If multiple Reserved SBs have been registered to one partition, they operate as Reserved SBs in ascending order
of SB number.
