CHAPTER 3 PSA Web-UI (Web User Interface) Operations
Item
Unit
Displays the Fibre Channel identifier.
Status
Displays the hardware status of the Fibre Channel (but not the status of any device
connected to the channel).
If the status is [Error] or [Warning], the window displays a check box.
After checking the check box, click the [Status Clear] button to clear the status.
Device Name
Displays the vendor name together with the device name as the name of the device.
In Windows, immediately after a hardware configuration change, a newly added device
is displayed as [Fibre Channel]. After about 30 minutes, it is replaced with the device
name recognized by the OS.
Device Class (hex)
Displays the device class ID (in hexadecimal).
Seg/Bus/Dev/Func
Displays the following numbers:
Vendor ID (hex)
Displays the vendor ID (in hexadecimal).
Device ID (hex)
Displays the device ID (in hexadecimal).
PCI Device Version
Displays the PCI device version (in hexadecimal).
(hex)
WWN
WWN is an abbreviation for World Wide Name.
This field displays the fixed 64-bit address (in hexadecimal) assigned to the Fibre Channel
switch or HBA.
Information about devices connected to controller
In the case of VMware or if no device is connected, this area displays only the display item titles together with a
message stating that no device is connected.
Unit
Displays the identifiers of the devices connected to the Fibre Channel.
Status
Displays the overall status that is determined based on the hardware status of each device
connected to the Fibre Channel as well as on symptoms of latent conditions.
The displayed status is as follows:
Check the check box to clear the status.
After checking the check box, click the [Status Clear] button to clear the status.
Device Type
Displays the device type.
- OK: Operating normally
- Error: Serious problem such as a hardware failure
- Warning: Warning status (potential problem in the future)
- Unknown: Unknown
- Segment number
- Bus number
- Device number
- Function number
- OK: Operating normally
- Error: Serious problem such as a hardware failure
- Warning: Warning status (potential problem in the future; S.M.A.R.T. included)
- Unknown: Unknown
- Direct Access
