You can use the above power-off operations to shut down the operating system and power off the partition only if
the operating system supports ACPI. If ACPI is not supported, you could only power off the partition but not shut
down the operating system. Also, if ACPI is supported by the operating system but not by the applications running
on it, partition power-off may fail. This would depend on the operating system specifications and application
specifications. For details, see the operating system or application manual.
"Error display"
If no bootable partitions are configured, the following window appears.
- No Override: Boots with the EFI Boot Manager settings.
- Force boot into EFI Boot Manager: Sets entry into EFI Boot Manager. You can
select the boot device from EFI Boot Manager.
- Force PXE: Overrides EFI Boot Manager settings to attempt a force PXE boot.
- Force boot from DVD: Overrides the EFI Boot Manager settings to attempt a force
boot from the system DVD.
The default is No Override.
This setting applies only to the first partition boot attempt immediately after the setting is
made. After the partition boot, the setting automatically returns to "No Override."
Therefore, you would to make this setting for each partition boot. Normally, use Boot
Manager of the UEFI for the setting.
Click the [Apply] button to set the information on the power control items.
Confirm the setting details in the confirmation dialog box that appears.
Click the [Cancel] button to restore the original information and not apply the specified
information on the partition power control items.
