Device Path

Device paths represent the paths of physical connections to devices. They show the relationship of connections
between devices and PCI Root Bridge.

ACPI device path.
HID is an abbreviation for Hardware ID. This ID conforms to ACPI specifications.
The ID is as follows:
PNP0A08: Represents PCI Root Bridge.
UID is an abbreviation for Unique ID. (It can be omitted.)
Device is the device number of the PCI device. It has a hexadecimal value in a range
of 0 to 31.
Function is the function number of the PCI device. It has a value in a range of 0 to 7.
SCSI controller.
PUN is an abbreviation for Physical Unit Number. It represents the SCSI ID. It has
a hexadecimal value in a range of 0 to 65535.
LUN is an abbreviation for Logical Unit Number. It has a hexadecimal value in a
range of 0 to 65535.
Fibre controller.
WWN is an abbreviation for World Wide Name. It is represented by "Wwn" plus a
64-bit numerical value.
LUN is an abbreviation for Logical Unit Number. It is represented by "Lun" plus a
64-bit numerical value.
Network.
MacAddr is an abbreviation for Mac Address.
IfType is an abbreviation for Interface Type. (It can be omitted.) It consists of
hexadecimal values, each in a range of 0 to 255.
Hard Drive.
Partition represents the partition number.
Type represents the partition type. (It can be omitted.) The types are as follows:
GPT: Abbreviation for GUID Partition Table
MBR: Abbreviation for Master Boot Record
The meaning of Signature depends as follows on the partition type:
GPT: Representative value for a GUID
MBR: Numerical value
Start indicates the start position of the partition. It is represented by a 64-bit numerical
value.
