Preparation prior to calibration
The calibration procedure is described in the FlexPendant while conducting it.

Starting the calibration procedure
Use this procedure to start the Axis Calibration routine on the FlexPendant.

Restarting an interrupted calibration procedure
If the Axis Calibration procedure is interrupted before the calibration is finished,
the RobotWare program needs to be started again. Use this procedure to take
required action.
Situation
The three-position enabling device on the
FlexPendant has been released during robot
movement.

6.4.4 Axis Calibration - Running the calibration procedure
Action
DANGER
While conducting the calibration, the track needs
to be connected to power.
Make sure that the track's working area is empty,
as the robot can make unpredictable movements.
Wipe the calibration tool clean.
Note
The calibration method is exact. Dust, dirt or color
flakes will affect the calibration value.
Action
Tap the calibration icon and enter the calibration
main page.
All mechanical units connected to the system are
shown with their calibration status.
Tap the mechanical unit in question.
The calibration method used at ABB factory for
each axis is shown, as well as calibration method
used for the robot during last field calibration.
Valid for RobotWare 6
Tap Call Calibration Method. The software will
automatically call for the procedure for the valid
calibration method. If not, tap Call Routine and
then tap Axis calibration.
Follow the instructions given on the FlexPendant.

device and press Play.
