Braking System

The Braking System is hydraulically operated

accumulators are used to ensure an operator
can still safely stop the Cruiser in the event of
engine failure.
Lubrication & Maintenance – Service
600mm diameter rotors (discs) are fitted to the hub on the
inside of each wheel.

Rotors

600mm diameter rotors are fitted to the hub
on the inside of each wheel. Rotor thickness
is 22mm new. Minimum rotor thickness is 20
mm.
Rotor with a thickness of less than than 20mm
must be replaced.
Rotors used on the Cruiser are a customized
construction and replacements must be
purchased from your local Goldacres dealer.
Refer to the specification provided in the 'Maintenance
Schedules' of this chapter.
Brake caliper & pads.
Brake Calipers & Pads
The calipers used on the machine have two
brake pads on each caliper which clamp onto
the rotor when the brakes are applied.
These pads must be inspected regularly
for wear. When the pads wear down to the
indicator groove they must be replaced. Build
up of mud and debris will cause the brake
pads to wear prematurely for this reason the
brake calipers must be kept clean at all times.
