Essential Risk Management - Safety
2
In addition to operator safety, it's important
that the chemical being sprayed hits the target
and drift is minimised.
The following conditions are generally
unsuitable for spraying:
Rain
High winds above 15km/h
Excessive humidity
Cold air and low pressure systems that
increase the risk of inversion
Delta T has become a widely used measure
for acceptable spraying conditions with
regards to temperature and humidity.
Observe all weather conditions, temperature,
humidity, wind direction & speed before you
start spraying & for the duration of the job.
Take all steps necessary to minimise spray
drift and the risk of inversion.
If you have any doubt consult with a qualified
advisor or agronomist.
