INTRODUCTION
PRELIMINAR STUDIES AND CONSIDERATIONS
MOUNTING AND CONSTRUCTION
The lateral pillars and the beams of the chassis frame cannot be modified. If the
roof beams need to be replaced or moved to another location, they should be
installed in sufficient number to provide the vehicle the values of resistance and
rigidity similar to the original. They must be connected to the side walls or the pil-
lars, through rigid connections. The position and number of roof beams must be as
is shown:

Moreover, this bearing structure, the floor sheet panel, the lateral walls and the roof
form a single structural unit. For this reason, all cuts performed in the body shell,
such as windows, roof hatches, etc., must be surrounded by a perimeter frame, to
ensure that this cut forms a continuous structure with the original structure through
rigid connections.
If, due to the changes made on the vehicle, some roof cross beams are cut, the final
part of the pillars should be connected to the perimeter frame with rigid brackets,
to build up a structure resistant to bending loads.
