Loads on vehicle roof
In the installation of special equipments on the roof of the cab, care should be taken
to ensure that the added weight does not exceed the permissible loads for the cab.

Weighing the vehicle
For correct sizing of the body and its location in the chassis, the axle loads must be
known before work is started on the vehicle. To obtain these loads, it is necessary
to weigh the vehicle.
Vehicle weight indicated in the documentation or data sheet is applied only to mass
production and tolerances can therefore exist (±5 %). For this reason, HMC recom-
mends weighing the vehicle to get the exact weight.
It must be borne in mind that the installation of additional equipment could cause
a variation in the weight of the vehicle, and this could change the distribution of
weight on the axles.
