INTRODUCTION
PRELIMINAR STUDIES AND CONSIDERATIONS
MOUNTING AND CONSTRUCTION
HYDRAULIC BRAKE ASSIST - HBA
It activates the brakes quickly and efficiently in the event of an emergency stop.
As it works together with the VDC system, the same guidelines must be considered
HILL START ASSIST - HAC
It prevents 'roll back' of the vehicle when moving off on a slope. The system acti-
vates the brakes while the driver moves his or her foot from the brake pedal to
the accelerator, acting as an automatic handbrake.
RAIN-LIGHT SENSOR
The rain-light sensor supports the field of vision of the driver by detecting the
amount of rain and the amount of light, and actively and automatically adjusts the
lamps and windshield wipers according to the requirements of the situation.
The rain sensor is on the windshield surface near the rear view mirror, and the
light sensor is on the middle of centre fascia near the windshield.
It can only be installed with original windshields.
PARKING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
When the space behind the vehicle is reduced, this electronic system alerts, with a
visual and audible warning of the danger of collision when maneuvering.
The sensors in the rear bumper emit ultrasound signals which are reflected by
other vehicles or obstacles. Do not paint over the sensors, because this could
decrease their sensitivity and prevent them from working properly.
If changes are made in the dimensions of a vehicle with this system installed, the
system must be reconfigured, adjusting it to the new parameters. This new con-
figuration must be performed by an official Hyundai service centre.
The Parking Assistance System sensors must not be hindered. They are located in
the vehicle as follows:
