INTRODUCTION
PRELIMINAR STUDIES AND CONSIDERATIONS
MOUNTING AND CONSTRUCTION
Positioning the centre of gravity on the Z-axis of the vehicle
On the Z axis of the vehicle is determined the CoG height. The CoG of the complete
vehicle should be kept as close as possible to the ground.

Once the vehicle conversion work has been finished, a check must be carried out to
ensure that the total height (HL) of the Centre of Gravity of the complete vehicle,
measured from the floor, does not exceed the permitted maximum values recom-
mended by this manual, in order to ensure proper vehicle behavior in the different
driving situations.
NOTICE
To obtain the height of the centre of gravity of the vehicle without body (Hc), i.e.
only the chassis, the technical documentation specified for each vehicle should
be consulted. Contact the relevant department in each case.
See General Book, chapter 2.4 "Contact Possibilities".
In general, the total height (HL) of the Centre of Gravity should not exceed the rec-
ommended values in this manual for vehicles that incorporate VDC (Vehicle Dynamic
Control system) technology. With higher values, a malfunction of the system may
occur. If this is the case, it is recommended that the VDC should be disabled.
WARNING
If, for the reasons explained in this section, the VDC must be disabled, the driver
should drive carefully, taking the appropriate security measures, for example
reducing the speed in situations that might compromise the stability of the vehicle.
If these measures are not taken, the driver could lose control of the vehicle, caus-
ing an accident, which could injure the driver or other people.
See chapter 7.7.3 "Electronic control units".
