POWER TAKE-OFF
Tanks must contain a minimum level of AdBlue product to cool the injector. If
this level is not reached, the system protects itself and stops supplying the
product.
The AdBlue product freezes at -11 °C; therefore, if the vehicle is usually
operated in extremely cold conditions, particular action will have to be taken to
protect the system.
The use of low quality products may damage the SCR system and therefore
reduce the torque, speed, or even stop the engine. Excessive cost and unneces-
sary downtime can be avoided by using the proper product. The AdBlue solu-
tion must meet the purity requirements defined by ISO 22241-1. This ensures
the correct manufacturing processes, testing and handling.
The AdBlue product should not come into contact with other products such as
oils, coolant liquid, etc.
If changes have been made to the SCR system, dirt or contaminants must be
properly removed from all its elements.
If the AdBlue product is spilled onto the vehicle, it should be cleaned off with
water. If it falls on an unprotected electric connector, the connector must be
replaced by a new one with the same characteristics.
During the modification work, care should be taken to ensure that there is suf-
ficient distance between the AdBlue system elements and other groups or sys-
tems, and that there is no direct contact, in order to prevent the possible
transfer of vibrations between them.
