INTRODUCTION
PRELIMINAR STUDIES AND CONSIDERATIONS
MOUNTING AND CONSTRUCTION
For vehicles designed to carry people, the maximum number of authorised passen-
gers should be considered. Consider the maximum total weight including passen-
gers and cargo carried.
Another important point to consider is the installation of special equipment in the
vehicle, the weight of which must also be added when calculating weight.
NOTICE
In all cases, the rules in force in each country, as well as the European standard,
must be applied.
NOTICE
In the case of a vehicle that consists of more than one unit (articulated vehicle),
the calculation of the maximum load should include the maximum permissible load
for the vehicle group and not the maximum authorised loads of each element
independently.
NOTICE
In the planning of the superstructure, systems for loading and unloading of the
goods transported should be taken into account, to avoid undue fluctuations of
load distribution or producing excessive axle loads. They furnish, if necessary, the
respective instructions to the vehicle's users.
NOTICE
All information about the permissible weight can be easily found on the vehicle's
identification plate.
See chapter 2.2 "Range of vehicles supplied by HYUNDAI".
It is possible also to find this information in the technical documentation of the
vehicle. Contact the relevant department in each case.
See General Book, chapter 2.4 "Contact Possibilities".
WARNING
If the permissible axle loads are exceeded, albeit circumstantially, in vehicles
equipped with VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control system) technology there is the risk
that these systems will not work correctly. In this case, the driver can lose the
control of the vehicle and cause an accident.
