MOUNTING AND CONSTRUCTION
Special points to be considered
-
-
-
-
Due to the movement of body, special attention should be paid to ensuring that
there is no interference with the rear underride guard, modifying if necessary.
The guidelines in this manual must always be followed.
V1.0, February 2015
POWER TAKE-OFF
Lights
At all times, the regulations regarding the lighting in vehicles, installing or ret-
rofitting lights, or any other necessary light signal must be met.
See chapter 7.5 "Lighting guidelines".
Position of the axis of rotation or swivel
The position of the axis of rotation of the tilting function must be as close as
possible to the rear axle.
Lifting cylinder
-
The more advanced the position of the cylinder or cylinders installed in the
longitudinal plane of the vehicle, the more stability can be found at the rear
during unloading.
-
Pay special attention not to locate the lifting cylinder behind the centre of
gravity of the tipper platform. This would make the cylinder lift the rear end
of the tipper platform instead of the front when starting the unloading
process.
-
The cylinder should not be attached to the chassis frame, just to the sub-
frame by rigid connections with the most suitable design according to the
situation.
-
The space required for the movement of the drive train or other moving
parts of the body must be taken into account.
Guide plate
In the front of the vehicle, the subframe should be provided with guide plates to
prevent lateral displacements of the tipper box, and guide it to the correct po-
sition on the subframe.
NOTICE
