A.2.2

Calculating the axle load

Upper bodies and operational equipment must be constructed respecting the load
capacity properties and correct dimensions, according to the specifications of each
vehicle.
The calculation of axle load can be very useful when checking the effect that new
equipment installed in the vehicle, such as a snow blade, a loading crane, an aerial
platform, etc., will have on axle load, ensuring that it complies with the permissible
limits in the standard and this manual.
NOTICE
To obtain more information about vehicle weight,
see chapter 2.3.3 "Weight distribution".
An example is given to make it easier to understand the calculation:
NOTICE
The data used in this example is purely informational, it is not real.
This example examines the impact on the distribution of axle loads when installing
new equipment on the chassis. In this way, it is possible to ensure that the minimum
permissible values are not exceeded.
