5. PARAMETERS
5.1 DESCRIPTION
OF PARAMETERS
When
composing
a system
by
combining
Motionpack-ll0
units,
servo
drives
and
servomotors
with
a machine,
various
constants
must
be
set
to designate
the
control
specifi-
cation
of the
Motionpack-ll0
to adapt
the
system
performance
to the
requirement
and
to the
machine
performance.
These
constants
are
given
as
parameters
to Motionpack-110.
Examples
of parameter
constants
include
the
number
of axes
to be
controlled,
the
feedrate
range,
and
the
range
of position
loop
gains.
The
parameters
must
be
determined
in the
system
design
stage,
and
must
be set
prior
to the
start
of operation.
Before
shipment
from
the
factory,
Motionpack-ll0s
are
set
to the
standard
parame-
ters.
The
preset
parameters
must
be checked
prior
to starting
operation.
5.2 VARIETIES
OF PARAMETERS
The
parameters
are
classified
into
six
groups:
system
specifications,
position
command
units,
machine
specifications,
servo
specifications,
return-to-reference
point,
and
spindles,
as
explained
below.
