Syntax
In non-FIPS mode:
ssh2 algorithm mac { sha1 | sha1-96 | md5 | md5-96 } *
undo ssh2 algorithm mac
In FIPS mode:
ssh2 algorithm mac { sha1 | sha1-96 } *
undo ssh2 algorithm mac
Default
In non-FIPS mode:
SSH2 uses the MAC algorithms sha1, sha1-96, md5, and md5-96 in descending order of priority for
algorithm negotiation.
In FIPS mode:
SSH2 uses the MAC algorithms sha1 and sha1-96 in descending order of priority for algorithm
negotiation.

Parameters
sha1: Specifies the HMAC algorithm hmac-sha1.
sha1-96: Specifies the HMAC algorithm hmac-sha1-96.
md5: Specifies the HMAC algorithm hmac-md5.
md5-96: Specifies the HMAC algorithm hmac-md5-96.
Usage guidelines
If you specify the MAC algorithms, SSH2 uses only the specified algorithms for algorithm
negotiation. The algorithm specified earlier has a higher priority during negotiation.
Examples
# Specify the algorithm md5 as the MAC algorithm for SSH2.
