Age-Based MAC Values
Age-based MAC factors the patient's age into the MAC value. Age-based MAC
calculates the patient's age from the birth date entered in the Patient Admit menu.
Once it has identified an agent, the parameter box shows a value for the minimum
alveolar concentration of the agent (age-based MAC value).
CAUTION:
1 age-based MAC (minimum alveolar concentration) is equal to 1 MAC (see below) x

The following values are used as a basis for all MAC calculations related to
the age of the patient:
