Connecting the PC to the Ethernet Port of the PBX

Connecting the PC to the Ethernet Port of the PBX
Requirements:
• For direct connection to the Ethernet port: Short distance between the devices
• A patch cable
1. Insert one end of the patch cable into the network socket on the PC.
2.
Insert the other end of the patch cable into the Ethernet socket on the CPU module
of the PBX.
Note:
Even if the Ethernet port on the PBX is already connected to the internal
network (LAN), you also need to connect the PC to the internal network. For
more information, contact your system administrator.
To configure the PBX via the Ethernet port, the PC and the PBX have to be
connected to the same network.
Further steps:
• Connect end devices with a separate power supply to the mains.
• Open the configuration manager of the PBX.
• Carry out the system activation.
• Make the basic settings.
• Put the end devices into operation.

Opening the Configuration Manager at First Commissioning

Requirements:
• Existing Ethernet connection between PC and PBX
• A PC meeting the minimum requirements (see chapter Important Information > Minimum
Requirements PC)
