Further steps:
• If required, change the automatically generated PINs and passwords (see chapter Settings
> Protection from Unauthorised Access > Configuring User PINs and Passwords).
Important: Passwords automatically generated for IP-DECT subscribers
must be adjusted. A password for a subscriber on a COMfortel IP1040 Base
must have eight characters (digits and/or characters - no special characters!).
A password for a subscriber on a COMfortel WS-400 IP or COMfortel WS-
650 IP can have up to 32 characters (digits and/or characters - no special
characters!).
• Configure your VoIP end devices.
Creating Subscribers without Assignment
The subscribers without assignment are pre-configured internal numbers for end devices which
are not yet connected.
Proceed as follows:
• Using the configuration manager
1. Open the page Subscriber (scr.) > Phone numbers.
2. Click
New.
3. Enter a new internal number in the from entry field. Possible entries:
2 to 4 digits in the range of
Note:
Double allocation of a number is not possible.
Using phone numbers with few digits (two or three-digit numbers) inevitably
restricts the possible supply of phone numbers with more digits. For
example, if the phone number 12 is assigned, the phone numbers 120-129
and 1200-1299 are no longer available.
