Confirming Alarms

An alarm can be signaled by the ringing of both an internal or an external telephone. To
terminate the complete alarm loop (and to switch off relays assigned to the alarm), the alarm
can be confirmed.
Requirements:
• DTMF-capable telephone or DTMF dialler
If an alarm is signaled at an internal or external telephone, proceed as follows:
1. Take off the receiver of the telephone on which the alarm is being signaled.
You will hear the announcement.
2. Within the next 60 seconds dial 0.
You will hear the confirmation tone.
Note: You can confirm the alarm already during the announcement. If you do
not confirm the alarm (or if you dial a wrong digit), you will hear the busy
signal and the call will be automatically terminated by the PBX. A further
alarm call may be initiated after some time if the other alarm subscribers do
not confirm the alarm.
