Subscriber Properties via Subscriber Profiles

Profiles
Profiles can be created for subscribers, groups, and voice mail/fax boxes. These profiles
control the behaviour by determining the properties. In this way, analogue behaviour can be
reached via the configuration-dependent assignment of profiles. When creating the profiles, it
can be determined whether the individual settings from the profile can be changed via the
properties of the subscriber, group, or the boxes or not.
Subscriber Properties via Subscriber Profiles
A subscriber may be assigned to different profiles depending on configurations. These profiles
control the behaviour of the subscriber.
This is the mode of action of the individual functions:
• First it will be checked which configuration and with that which profile is valid for the corre-
sponding subscriber. If this setting was configured inside of this profile not to be changed
(Profile-controlled settings enabled), the function properties are already fixed.
• If this setting was allowed to be changed inside of this profile (Profile-controlled settings
disabled), the configuration of page Subscriber (scr.) > Properties will be enabled.
• A subscriber not assigned to a profile will be subject to standard setting from the standard
profiles (see Subscribers (scr.) > Profiles > Configuration all profiles visible by the button
View (e. g. Standard telephone)). A standard profile will be selected during the first entry of
an internal number according to the selected device type.
Note: In the standard profiles most often the authorisation is assigned to
change the function settings by the user (Profile-controlled settings
disabled -> no). That means nearly each function is initially switched as it was
entered on the page Subscribers (scr.) > Properties.
Changes to function settings may be made by:
• Configuration switchover (with different profiles in these configurations)
• Telephone procedures (only if the function changes are allowed in the profile settings
(Profile-controlled settings disabled))
• User action on the page Subscriber (scr.) > Properties of this web interface (only if the
function changes are allowed in the profile settings (Profile-controlled settings disabled).
In addition to this the user needs a user password and the authorisation for the page
mentioned above.
