Entering the Maximum Recording Capacity of a Voice Mailbox
The maximum recording capacity specifies the maximum memory capacity in megabytes (MB)
available for the recording of messages of the box. Additionally, the maximum length per
recording can be specified. It indicates the number of minutes after which the voice mailbox
ends a recording automatically (in as far as the caller has not already hung up).
Note: Under the following circumstances, the entered value is not available
to the box:
– There is not enough memory capacity available on the storage media.
– The memory capacity on the storage media is utilised by other boxes.
Proceed as follows:
• Separately for voice mailboxes
• Using the configuration manager
Requirements:
• Voice mail/fax function (optional, see chapter Important Information > Product Details >
Basic Assembly and Extensions)
1. Open the page Devices > Voice mail/fax boxes > Properties > Box settings.
2. In the list field at the top, select the voice mailbox in question according to the name
or number.
3. Enter a value in the Maximum size of the box entry field under Maximum recording
capacity. Possible entries:
