The procedure below details how to inspect the position switch, axes 1, 2 and 3.

See figure above to locate the different components to be inspected.
Please observe the following before commencing any repair work on the manipulator:
- Motors and gears are HOT after running the robot! Burns may result from touching the
motors or gears!
- Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and pneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!
- Take any necessary measures to ensure that the manipulator does not collapse as parts are
removed, e.g. to secure the lower arm with fixtures if removing motor, axis 2.

Action
1.
Check the position switch!
Check that the rollers are easy to push in
and that they roll freely.
2.
Check the rail!
Check that the rail is firmly attached with the
attachment screws.
3.
Check the cams!
Check that the rollers has not caused any
impressions on the cams.
Check that the cams are clean. Wipe them if
necessary!
Check that the set screws holding the cams
in position are firmly attached.
4.
Check the protection sheets on axis 1!
Check that the three sheets are in position
and not damaged. Deformation can result in
rubbing against the cams!
Check that the area inside of the sheets is
clean enough not to interfere the function of
the position switch.
5.
If any damage is detected, the position switch must
be replaced!
